About Project BLUE

Building Trust. Creating Connections. Developing Leaders.

Project BLUE brings young people and law enforcement together through positive, meaningful experiences in the Louisville community.

Our goal is to create opportunities for youth to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and form relationships with law enforcement outside of traditional interactions. By spending time together, learning together, and taking on new challenges, participants can build the trust and understanding that strengthen our community.

What We Do

Project BLUE creates interactive experiences designed to engage, challenge, and encourage young people. Activities include leadership workshops, confidence-building exercises, archery, fishing, recreation, and other hands-on community events.

Programs such as Cast Away Your Stress give youth an opportunity to step away from everyday pressures, try something new, and connect with officers and community mentors in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Each activity is different, but the purpose remains the same: create positive experiences that can lead to stronger relationships.

Supporting Louisville Youth

Project BLUE works alongside community organizations and partners to connect young people with opportunities, mentors, and resources that can help them thrive.

The broader Project Blue initiative supports community-rooted organizations working with law enforcement and wraparound resources to reach youth, particularly those living in communities affected by violence.

Through these partnerships, we can provide more than a single event. We can create opportunities for young people to discover their strengths, develop as leaders, and know that their community is invested in their future.
