What To Expect

The Archery Experience is more than just learning to shoot a bow—it’s about focus, perseverance, and community connection.

Hands-On Archery

Learn proper shooting technique, bow safety, stance, and aiming fundamentals under the guidance of skilled archery instructors.

Connect with local law enforcement officers and community mentors in a fun, relaxed, and supportive atmosphere outside of traditional roles.

Develop discipline, patience, and self-confidence. Taking aim on the range translates to hitting personal goals in school and life.

All Gear Provided

Everything you need is included at no cost: bows, arrows, safety gear, targets, and refreshments for all registered youth participants.

Event Schedule

A structured, exciting 3-hour experience designed for youth ages 10 and older:

9:00 AM – Check-In & Welcome

Registration check-in, name tags, mentor introductions, and gear assignment.

9:30 AM – Safety & Fundamentals

Range safety orientation, shooting stance, loading, and aiming mechanics.

10:00 AM – Target Practice & Challenges

Interactive target shooting, friendly team challenges, and one-on-one coaching.

11:30 AM – Reflection & Awards

Leadership discussion, certificate presentation, and light refreshments.

Location & Guidelines

📍 South Louisville Community Center

Located in South Louisville. Ample parking is available on site.

What to Wear & Bring:
  • Comfortable athletic clothing (avoid loose/baggy sleeves).
  • Closed-toe athletic shoes (required for range safety).
  • Parent or legal guardian consent for participants under 18.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn!
